Safety and Hygiene Precautions
What should I expect at my appointment?
Consultation: The first step typically involves a consultation with a licensed practitioner (such as a nurse practitioner, aesthetician, or doctor). During this time, they will discuss your goals, assess your skin or body, and ask questions about your medical history. This helps ensure the treatments are safe and tailored to your needs.
Treatment Plan: Based on your consultation, the practitioner will suggest a personalized treatment plan. This might include a combination of services such as Botox, dermal fillers, laser treatments, facials, body contouring, or skin rejuvenation.
Treatment Procedure: Once you’ve agreed on the plan, the actual procedure will begin. Depending on the treatment, the experience can vary:
For injectables like Botox or dermal fillers, you may feel brief pinching or pressure, but most patients find the discomfort to be minimal.
For laser treatments, you may feel heat or mild stinging, but numbing creams or cooling devices can often be used to reduce discomfort.
For facials or other skin treatments, you may experience a relaxing experience with gentle massage or product application.
Aftercare Instructions: After your treatment, you’ll likely be given instructions on how to care for your skin, including avoiding certain activities (like excessive sun exposure or makeup application) for a few days or weeks. Depending on the procedure, you may need follow-up appointments to monitor progress.
Results: Some treatments offer immediate results, like facial treatments or injectables, while others, such as laser or body sculpting treatments, may take a few days or weeks to show full effects.
Make sure to ask any questions beforehand about what to expect, including potential side effects, downtime, and recovery tips!
Will my service be painful, and if so, should I take anything prior to coming in?
We offer all of the best pain management solutions for a variety of services. From topical numbing cream to Pro-nox (Laughing gas), your comfort is our priority!
Will my daily medications interfere with my service?
Prior to your service we will discuss your health history and individualize your treatment plan to determine best practice. The majority of daily medications will not interfere with your service.
Do I need to consult my physician before having a service completed?
If you have pertinent health history then we may request that you are cleared from your Dr prior to starting certain treatments but generally this is not needed. We also have a medical doctor on staff to ensure safe practices.
Are the services safe for pregnancy and/or breastfeeding moms?
Not all services are suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding moms, and we prioritize your safety above all else. Before undergoing any treatment, we recommend consulting with your OB-GYN to ensure it aligns with your specific needs. Additionally, we’re happy to discuss your options and tailor recommendations during a consultation to help you make an informed decision.
When can I resume my normal makeup or skincare routine?
Depending on the service it can be immediately after treatment or up to 72 hours. You provider will discuss this with you during your post-procedure instructions.
Services
When will I see results from my service?
The timeline for seeing results from medspa treatments varies depending on the type of service:
Injectables (Botox, Dermal Fillers): Results from Botox typically appear within 3–10 days, while dermal fillers can show immediate results, with final effects visible within 2 weeks.
Laser Treatments: For skin resurfacing or hair removal, you may see results after a few days to weeks. Full results may take several sessions, depending on the treatment.
Facials/Peels: Immediate glow is common, but more noticeable changes, like smoother or clearer skin, may take a few days.
Body/face Contouring: Results can take a few weeks to months as the body gradually eliminates fat after treatments like Morpheus8.
Overall, each treatment type has its own timeline, so your practitioner can provide a more specific estimate based on the service you choose.
Can I share a syringe with a friend?
No, we can not share syringes of filler.
How do I know what ZO Skin Health products are best for me?
We work with you to address your skin concerns and then consider the following:
Skin Type & Concerns: ZO products are designed to address various skin concerns, such as acne, aging, pigmentation, rosacea, and overall skin health. Take note of your skin type (oily, dry, sensitive, etc.) and any specific issues you’re looking to target.
Consultation with a Professional: It’s best to consult with one of our experienced skincare professionals who can assess your skin and recommend a personalized ZO regimen based on your needs.
Product Ingredients: ZO products are formulated with potent ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and growth factors. If you’re unsure, a professional can guide you in choosing the right products based on your skin’s tolerance and goals.
How many Morpheus8 sessions are needed to see results?
Typically 3 treatments about 4-6 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results.
How many shots of Skinny Shot are typically needed to see results?
The number of “Skinny Shots” (Semaglutide or Tirzepatide) needed to see results can vary depending on your individual goals, metabolism, and lifestyle. However, here are some general guidelines:
Initial Results: Many people notice some initial improvement in energy and possibly slight weight loss after about 1–2 shots. These effects can vary depending on the individual.
Recommended Frequency: Typically, for noticeable weight loss or metabolism boost, practitioners recommend getting Skinny Shots once a week. Results can start to become more apparent after 3–4 weeks of regular injections.
Long-Term Results: For sustained benefits, continued treatment for several weeks to a few months may be necessary, alongside a healthy diet and exercise routine.
It’s important to consult with your practitioner to determine the best treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals.
